Biography

From Steppenwolf Theatre Company: “Tracy Letts first appeared on the Steppenwolf stage in the Steppenwolf for Young Adults production of The Glass Menagerie. Some of Tracy’s performances at Steppenwolf include a middle-management stooge in Glengarry Glen Ross, a seedy British diplomat in Homebody/Kabul and the title role in The Dresser. As a playwright, Tracy’s work includes Killer Joe, Bug and Man From Nebraska, which premiered at Steppenwolf, was named a finalist for the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and was awarded the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and the 2008 Tony Award for Best Play for August: Osage County. Tracy was also named as one of Time’s “Best of 2003.”"
